Vishnuvardhan and Ajith – ‘Not now’, says Vishnu!

Source: behindwoods

The most sought after director in tinsel town these days seems to be director Vishnuvardhan of Pattiyal fame. Already rumours are doing the rounds that he may direct Ajith's next movie. But Vishnu has put a firm stop to all of it by saying, "While it is true that I was approached to direct Ajith's next film under the production of Mohan Natrajan, I was unable to accept as I have already committed a film to director Bala's B Studio's house of filmmaking. So I had to let the opportunity of working with Ajith pass."

Since he has revealed that his next project is for B Studio's, we are only curious to find out more about the project. "It is a joint venture between Studio Green's Gnanavel and Bala's B Studios and the movie is titled "Sarvam". The story, screenplay, dialogue and direction of the film will be my responsibility, with actor Surya playing the lead and Tollywood heartthrob Ileana being cast opposite Surya."

This director sure is busy, as shooting for this film starts in October, with the goal of releasing this film for Tamil New Year next year, while he has already committed to direct a movie for Saran and Gemini Productions!

Ajith-Bala tussle: Financiers under trouble! One attacked by a mob and the other to face police action?

Much like He-who-shall-not-be-named from the Harry Potter series, we have a financier in the Tamil film industry who commands respects, calls the shots, and literally has the industry shivering when they just hear his name.

Well, considering the fact that he is the sole financier for a majority of Tamil films produced, it hardly comes as a surprise. In fact, even in the recent Ajith – Bala fracas, his name was the central figure, as there were complaints that he was the one who threatened Ajith. Dailies and magazines have started to write about his atrocities in the industry, subtly though, and it is said that since the government has changed hands, the financier might be in serious risk of facing police action.

High vigilance is being observed by the police, as they wait and watch, hoping for one small slip, to catch the financier red-handed. Sadly, there is no one to bell the cat, and rumour has it that many top producers, actors and directors have lost their wealth and sometimes even their lives too, courtesy this dreaded figure in the industry. Recent reports state that a leading producer has finally lodged a complaint against him, under the protection and surety of the police of course. Looks like it might not be long before He-who-shall-not-be-named will be behind bars.

Meanwhile another financier Sanjay, who is said to be have been a part of the Ajith – Bala episode that took place in the hotel, was attacked by a mob last night. Ajith fans, who are furious over the episode, participated in several demonstrations all over the state and also pasted posters condemning Bala. There were plans even to hold demonstrations outside Bala's residence, but Ajith intervened and requested his fans to maintain patience, assuring them that he would handle the situation.

Here is a detailed report on the sequence of events – Sanjay is also a film financier and he is said to have been there when the Ajith –Bala tussle took place in the hotel. Sanjay is also said to have threatened the actor. Last night, Sanjay, accompanied with his wife, drove into his new home at New Avadi Road, Kilpauk. They got out of their car, and moved towards the house, when two strangers neared him, pretending to be enquiring about an address. Suddenly, a Toyota Qualis arrived on the scene, halting suddenly with screeching brakes.

Ten people jumped out of the car and in seconds, they fiercely attacked Sanjay and his wife. The couple had to finally escape in their car!

Sanjay immediately launched a complaint about the incident in the G3 Kilpauk Police station. Joint Commissioner Seema Agarwal, Assistant Commissioner Ganesa Moorthy and Deputy Commisioner Rangarajan are enquiring into this matter and the police are seriously on the lookout for this mob.

Ajith stops Vijayakanth - "Do not intervene" !

The Ajith-Bala threat encounter is taking on new angles every other day. What was reported by the press... is it true? Was Ajith threatened to return the advance he was given for 'Naan Kadavul' along with interest? Was he forced to sign on a blank paper? These are million dollar questions for which there are no answers, since neither Ajith nor Bala are speaking about it.

When everyone is talking about it, people wondered why the Nadigar Sangam remains silent. It is understood that the actors have urged Vijayakanth to take necessary action. Following this, Vijayakanth called Ajith and asked him if it was true that he was threatened and to give a complaint to Nadigar Sangam to that effect, so they could take action. In response Ajith has said, "I am happy that you have enquired after this incident," but insisted that he would tackle the matter himself.

Actor Nasser who always fights for justice has also called up Ajith and urged him to courageously file a complaint so they could take the necessary action. Ajith is supposed to have given him the same response as he did to Vijayakanth.
Ajith is one person who does not speak about his troubles or his charity work. He has worked free in films hassled by finances or for producers who have undergone losses. Does he club the 'talks with Bala' at Palmgrove Hotel in this category? God knows. But one thing is for sure.

The ultimate star is indeed one of a kind!

Ajith-Perarasu combo’s ‘Yaar Kadavul’ to counter Bala!!

Only Perarasu would have the gumption to do it. As the Ajith-Bala controversy is raging, there is buzz in Kollywood that Perarasu has joined hands with Ajith and titled the new film as Yaar Kadavul. Tipped as the contender to Bala’s Naan kadavul, the films could be released on the same day. Perarasu would be completing Dharmapuri and might just as well start on it next. Rumors are agog that he has already penned a song, “Nee kadavula, naan kadavula, yaar kadavulda? Unnaiyum ennaiyum vazha vaikkira kadavul rasigan da.”

Tamil cinema is always known for symbolism. This might just be the beginning of a new round of battle and a vocal one at that. Watch this space for more developments.

Pressure on Ajith
IndiaGlitz

A section of actors has been reportedly been urging Ajith to file an official complaint against director Bala for reportedly threatening him for refusing to act in Naan Kadavul.

Reports in the vernacular press have been suggesting that Ajith was grilled by some henchmen reportedly sent by Bala after the actor refused to be part of Naan Kadavul.

Though Bala and Ajith both said that they have sorted out the differences between them mutually, reports of Ajith being threatened have created ripples in the industry.
Major voices in Kollywood wants the Nadigar Sangam to intervene in the issue and safeguard the interests of the actor.

They have sent their representations to Nadigar Sangam president Vijayakanth in this regard. They have even threatened to go on a one-day token strike against Bala if the issue is not sorted out soon.

Meanwhile fans of Ajith have been continuing protests against Bala. Posters have been struck by them condemning Bala in different parts of the State.

Meanwhile, it is also learnt that Vishnu Vardhan, who was to do a film for Bala, has now dropped it. Instead, he is penciled to do a movie with Ajith.
Is the industry rallying against Bala?

Dharani-Ajith together?
IndiaGlitz

Rumors are abuzz that director Dharani might direct Ajith this year.

After Ajith declined to be part of director Bala's Naan Kadavul, expectations were high on his next film. Buzz was that he would be doing a film for Suresh Balaji Productions.

Meanwhile sources close to Ajith said, 'the actor has apparently agreed to be part of a film to be directed by Dharani. The movie may hit the floors this year-end'.

After a dismal show in his recent Telugu venture Bangaram, Dharani has been eyeing to make it big in Kollywood. Meanwhile Ajith is keen on continuing his good run in Kollywood following the success in Paramasivan and Thirupathy.

The two have principally agreed to come together.

Dharani's last venture in Tamil was Ghilli. After almost a couple of years, the director would be back in Kollywood to try his luck.
