Billa to go on floors on April 13

Rajnikant is expected to attend the puja of Billa, which is scheduled for April 13. A remake of his film in which Rajni donned a double role with Sri Priya as his heroine, Billa went on to become a huge hit.

The remake stars Ajit and Nayantara. Namitha is also in the cast, it has been reliably learnt.

To be directed by Vishnuwardhan, whose recent hits include Arindum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal, the film is being produced by L Balaji, who has been a distributor of a number of films produced by the AVM banner.

The film will be shot extensively in Malaysia and is likely to release this year, say sources. The storyline will adhere to the original largely, but Ajit fans will not be disappointed.
